Inaugural IRF General Assembly

The first IRF General Assembly took place on October 21, 2021. It was a great showcase of the passion for roundnet all across the globe! The IRF currently has 29 National Members, with 18 of them meeting the requirements for Full or Provisional membership.

The General Assembly is an annual meeting where representatives from each country’s national governing body come together to discuss and decide upon important matters for the federation and the growth of the sport.

The meeting’s Agenda included:

  • Updates on progress in our first year

  • Presentation of the Strategic Plan

  • A look into our committees

  • Best Practices from NGBs (Roundnet Germany + Roundnet Indonesia)

  • Review of the annual financial plan

  • Review of rules

Voting Matters

In order for the items to be approved, they needed a majority vote from the membership, with each full or provisional member having one vote. There were three items voted on and all were approved :

  • Strategic Plan - approved

  • Annual Financial Plan - approved

  • Rules - approved, official rules can now be found here

    • Serving Height - turned from provisional to official

    • No Hit Zone - turned from provisional to official

We are super excited for what’s on the horizon and can’t wait to do the next General Assembly in person at the World Championships in 2022.
